About Us

Parkview Lodge Pre-school is a committee run pre-school that moved to its current location in 1998. The lodge was originally a derelict building that had the potential to be turned into a vital resource for our local community. A national lottery grant was awarded to Parkview Lodge Pre-school and it allowed the building to be completely transformed into its current form today. The building (downstairs) has two play rooms filled with stimulating resources and a secure safe garden that is always accessible.
 
The pre-school offers full/part time  care to children from 2 years to 5 years for approximately 38 weeks of the year. Parkview Lodge Pre-school operates an open door policy, meaning that you are very welcome to visit us. The staff are parents themselves and understand what an important time this is for you and your child. If you wish to visit us please telephone and we will be happy to welcome you to look around.

 Most of the staff have worked at the pre-school for many years. It is run by a management committee of parents and operates as a non-profit making charity, and a Limited company. This means that all funds are invested back into the pre-school for the benefit of the children. The qualified and experienced staff work with the children in small groups or on a one to one basis. They provide a variety of well prepared activities each day to help the children gain knowledge and experience as they play. We follow the EYFS ( The Early years Foundation Stage).
 
The pre-school publishes a newsletter for parents/carers at the beginning of every term. This is full of information about what is happening at the pre-school and is a very important line of communication between the staff, committee and parents. The pre-school is OFSTED inspected and approved and is also a member of the Early Years Alliance.
